Meet the Principal
Catherine Mullally is the President and CEO of CMC Group, LLC, a strategy, coaching, and communication consultancy based in Los Angeles and New York. She is a strategic advisor to executives, a seminar leader and public speaker with a focus on development of system wide coherence in the individual and the organization. Her clients represent numerous industries including financial service, media, health and beauty, wellness, technology and hospitality. She also focuses on the non-profit sector, start-up businesses and individuals who wish to sharpen their skills.
Mullally’s career has spanned thirty years and ranged from major media, non-profit and entrepreneurial enterprise. She has served as Executive Director of Susan G. Komen for the Cure in Los Angeles County and held positions at Ogilvy & Mather and McCann Erickson. She led the first commercial project for the Children’s Television Workshop then for nearly a decade, led a global packaged media business for MTV Networks (Viacom). In this role, her businesses won over forty awards for excellence and generated billions in retail revenue. She was an original member of MTV’s mentoring program; she championed a year-long anti-violence initiative for the creative teams, and served on the steering committee for both mentoring and diversity.
A founding member of the Creating WE Institute, Mullally is a charismatic public speaker, with appearances ranging from large scale seminars, panels, public presentations, radio and television. She has published articles on issues of leadership, communication and collaboration, and is a contributing author to the best-selling 42 Rules for Creating WE. Catherine has also developed packaged ideas for media presentation, for production/distribution and capitalization review. She has written executive speeches, marketing materials, websites and continues to work with clients on how best to communicate the core values of the organization. She is a member of the International Leadership Alliance, is the former co-president of the National Eating Disorders Association, and past communication chairperson for the Women’s Venture Fund in New York.
